On the way to work this morning, I stopped by Ascension Coffee for a latte. Nothing fancy. I don't care for sugary coffee drinks with sweeteners, syrups, and goop. I just like fresh, great quality coffee with full fat milk and a light layer of froth on top; and Ascension has some of the best coffee in Dallas.
The weather is damp and drizzly today, but inside the coffee shop it was warm and cheerful. And I loved the perfect yellow rose on my table, against the lacquered red chairs in the background; definitely a bright spot on a dreary morning...
